The Nanook hockey team ended their four game losing streak this weekend by winning games on Friday and Saturday night.
On Friday, the Nanooks scored twice in the first period and once near the end of the game, which gave them the early upper hand in their 3-1 win over their rival, Lake Superior State.
Saturday night’s game against the Lakers was much closer, with the Nanooks only leading by one point for most of the first and second periods. They managed to hold off the Lakers and pull out a 2-1 win.
Next weekend during their final home game of the season, the Nanooks will host Minnesota State, the number one ranked team in the country.
