Motor Vehicle Accident
Jan. 15, 11:44 a.m. – Two vehicles were involved in an accident in the parking lot of the Akasofu Building. One of the drivers, Christina Mundis, 29 of North Pole, was found to be driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. She was cited for no proof of insurance and summonsed for driving with license suspended and violation of limitations on license.
Jan. 17, 11:46 a.m. – There was a two vehicle accident in the roundabout on Tanana Loop with minor damage. Driver Ruby Walden, 20 of Fairbanks, was cited for failure to yield when entering the roundabout.
Jan. 15, 11:44 p.m. – Res Life reported an unsigned suicide note was found in a bathroom of Moore Hall. Officers responded and a welfare check was performed.
Jan. 17, 12:39 a.m. – A traffic stop for an expired registration was performed on Palo Verde Ave. The driver, Kevin Garrett, 19 of North Pole, was cited for an expired registration and a small amount of marijuana was seized and destroyed.
Jan. 17, 1:50 a.m. – The Moore Hall front desk reported an intoxicated female with no ID was walking towards SRC. Officers made contact with her then transported her to Fairbanks Correctional Center for protective custody.
Jan. 19, 12:17 a.m. – A Bartlett Hall RA reported an unconscious male. Officers and EMS responded then transported him to FCC for a sleep-off.
Jan. 18, 6:20 p.m. – A problem between roommates was reported in the Garden Apartments. Officers worked with Res Life to move one roommate to a new room while the other was contacted for a possible domestic violence issue.
Jan. 19, 2:25 a.m. – Alaska State Troopers requested the assistance of the UAF Police Department to respond to a call near a residence. An officer made contact with a vehicle after observing several moving violations. The driver, Sarah Marsteller, 19 of Anchorage, was found to be driving under the influence. She was arrested and transported to FCC and charged with driving under the influence, minor operating after consuming and minor consuming alcohol.
Jan. 19, 10:34 a.m. – A male was reported looking into vehicle windows at Arctic Health’s parking lot. Officers and CSOs patrolled the area and spoke with lab workers. No contact was made with the suspect and the investigation is on-going.
