Thursday, April 1, 12:28 a.m.
A woman called to report that she and her friend were walking the ski trails behind West Ridge when they encountered a moose. They ran away from the moose, but dropped an iPhone. She said the moose was still there and they were getting very cold but, h-e-l-l-o, it is an iPhone.
She requested assistance back to her vehicle and help with retrieving the iPhone. An officer went on the Ski Trails with the Rhino, recovered the iPhone and gave the women a courtesy ride back to their vehicle at IARC.
Thursday, April 1, 3:05 p.m.
Facilities Services employees hanging out at the lower dorms reported a chair, that they believed to have come from the Natural Sciences Building, was in the bed of a pickup truck. An officer found the vehicle, and the chair, but not the truck’s owner. Occupants of the Reichardt Building are asked to be on the lookout for a suspicious individual standing up at his or her desk.
Thursday, April 1, 4:15 p.m.
A woman at Nerland hall called to report that she thinks her roommate has been stealing from her.
Friday, April 2, 2:00 p.m.
A woman called to report that her white, 32 gig, iPhone 3GS, which she left briefly in the women’s restroom near Schaible Auditorium, had been stolen. No moose were reported in the vicinity of Bunnell at the time.
