Note to self: Pick up air freshener for the car
Saturday, March 27, 12:56 a.m.
During a traffic stop for moving and equipment violations, the officer smelled the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver, Rodney D. Carpluk , 22 of Fairbanks, was arrested and transported to FCC on one count of DUI. A community service officer escorted Carpluk’s passenger to her residence and Badger Towing got the car.
Saturday, March 27, 3:58 a.m.
During another traffic stop for moving and equipment violations, the officer smelled a strong odor of fresh and burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver, Matthew W. Mayo, 20 of Fairbanks, was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the Influence of drugs. The car was taken to the station where it could be checked out and the passengers were released after being searched to make sure they weren’t taking anything green and sticky with them.
Sunday, March 28, 1:49 a.m.
During another traffic stop for moving violations, the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The driver, Robert A. Fuqua, 54 of Orlando FL, was placed under arrest. Badger Towing got the car and FCC got the pleasure of Fuqua’s company for driving under the influence, refusal to blow into the Breathalyzer and driving recklessly.
